Exploring the Archives
Heritage Open Day: Join us for a look behind the locked doors of the archive. In this drop in session, you'll get to see and touch some of the old, rare and exciting things that are normally out of sight of the public and find out about their history. This event will offer people the chance to visit the University of Exeter Special Collections and to see some of the archives that are not generally open to public view. Material will include items of historic and literary significance from the past seven hundred years and participants will be able to see and handle items with the help of experienced archive staff. There will be the opportunity to find out more about how we look after the material and what is involved in preserving it. People do not need to book and can drop in at any point in the session.
