The church which was closely associated with the nearby C10 Benedictine Abbey of Our Lady and St Rumon dates from at least 1265. The present church, one of only two in England under the patronage of St Eustachius, was dedicated in 1318, although the present building dates mainly from later in the C14. The church is listed II* (particularly important building of more than special interest) and contains many beautiful artefacts.
