Talk: Origins and History of Mariners Chapel
Heritage Open Day: Historic Mariners Church in Gloucester Docks The chapel was opened in 1849 for sailors and boatmen ‘to care for their souls’. The work later expanded to include coffee shops & education. Robert Kingston, a current Chapel trustee, will give a 30 min talk on its origins, history and current role in the city.
