Heritage Open Day: The remains of the medieval Keynsham Abbey will be open to visitors and a guided talk will be given. There will be interpretation boards and our volunteers will be on hand to answer questions. There will be a Monks' Trail for younger visitors. Keynsham Abbey will be open to the public who will be able to explore the remains. There will be interpretation boards and volunteers on hand to answer questions. Guided talks will highlight the history of Keynsham Abbey and the Abbey site, including information about Heahmund, a warrior bishop, and Jasper Tudor, uncle to Henry VII, both of whom were buried at Keynsham Abbey.
For younger visitors there will be an age appropriate Monks' Trail they can follow to learn more about living in a medieval Abbey.
