Discover how the building has changed from an 18th century holiday home on the beach (before the seawall was built) to the restaurant it is today. Step into the private dining room and discover a treasure trove of historical photos and information dating back to the 18th Century. Plus, find out more about the history of The Old Thatched Cottage restaurant, one of Weston-super-Mare’s most popular restaurants which has been owned and operated by the Michael family since 1959.
Plus, in 2023, The Old Thatched Cottage was recognised with an English Heritage Blue Plaque, a prestigious scheme that celebrates the links between notable figures of the past and the buildings in which they lived and worked - visit us to find out more about Reverend William Leeves, soldier and musician/composer.
