The United Church - Historical Background for Non-Conformists in Warminster
Heritage Open Day: Built as a Methodist Chapel in 1804, the 1774 records show that “on account of the great wickedness of the place they could no longer preach the Gospel at Warminster.†Discover how Warminster improved & how we handled the riotous mob! We will be opening our premises on Sunday 8th, Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th September from 2pm to 5pm. We have a small paved garden and a friendly foyer where we will be serving Cream Teas to support Christian Aid during your visit if you like.
There will be flowers and greenery in the church if you or any young people would like to make a posy or small flower arrangement to take home to remember your visit or to leave in the church for other visitors to enjoy.
