Heritage Open Day: Keele University is excited to take part in the annual 'Heritage Open Days'. We will be opening our doors to Keele Hall where there will be tours and the opportunity to explore the vast grounds and lakes. Keele University is excited to take part in the annual 'Heritage Open Days'. We will be opening our doors on Sunday 15 September 2024 between 10am and 3pm.
Keele Hall
The Keele estate was owned by the Sneyd family and the first Keele Hall was built in 1580 and rebuilt to Anthony Salvin’s design in 1855-1860. In 1949 the University College of North Staffordshire was founded on the site, and became Keele University in 1962. The campus has over 600 acres of landscaped grounds, farmland, woodland and University buildings and facilities.
