Heritage Open Day: In the year of Offa & Athelstan, the 6th annual Civic Society festival connects you with history & heritage at awe-inspiring Grade I Heritage Listed St. Editha's Parish Church, & also at the 13th century Spital Chapel. Follow the route of Tamworth's rich heritage from Anglo-Saxon burgh to modern town.
Journey through 1000 years of history at St. Editha's, the largest Parish Church in Staffordshire. The first Church was razed by attacking Danes in 874.
Attractions will include:
Community & Heritage stalls, exhibits, & demonstrations from Tamworth's best independent & volunteer organisations.
Tour the magnificent building & learn its many special secrets.
Anglo-Saxon Guided Town Tour.
