There will be a sale of second hand local history books. Grab a bargain! A swimming baths was first proposed in 1903 and the building was opened in 1911.
Tours of the Baths will be available, bookable on the day.
Stirchley grew around Pershore Road, a main arterial road leading south out of Birmingham City into the Worcestershire Countryside.
With the advent of the famous Cadburys' chocolate factory Stirchley Street Station became Bournville station.
By World War One, what had been a hamlet, had turned into a Birmingham suburb bordered by the canal and railway and near the famous Cadburys’ factory.
