Britain's What's On Event Guide
Manor Farm Park Heritage Trail (part of Bournville Heritage Open Day 2024)
Heritage Open Day: A walking trail takes visitors to ten sites in the beautiful Manor Farm Park, showing the changes from farmland in the16th Century, to the development of a country estate and ownership by the Cadbury Family, to the creation of a public park in 1955. The 2 km walking Trail visits ten sites of historic interest in and around Manor Farm Park; each site has a QR code which, when scanned on a smartphone, allows visitors to access information about the site on a website. A printed guide and map will be available for self-guided tours but visitors can book one of two guided tours.
The park was formerly part of an ancient deer park, then agricultural land and in the early 19th Century became a country estate attached to the Manor House.
