St Johns and St Peters; from pews to chairs
Heritage Open Day: Visit this beautiful inviting space and appreciate its acoustics. St Johns became St Johns and St Peters in 2001 when St Peters, Spring Hill, built in 1901, was closed as an Anglican church and combined with St John's to make one new, larger parish. St Johns was built in 1852-1854 originating from a Mission to the area from St Martin's in the Bullring.
The church was reordered in 2001, to create a space for the Arts. It is a fantastic space, and the acoustics are to get excited about. This church is a breath of fresh air and yet it holds its religious title and role at its forefront. The church is used as rehearsal space for a number of choirs and also concerts. People enjoy the coolness, peace and meditative strength of the building.
We have a car park which can hold up to 12 vehicles. If you require a disabled space please let us know and we will reserve a space for you.
