Heritage Open Day: Selly Manor Museum commissioned four young, local, artists of Black Heritage to create artworks depicting Black Tudors inspired by real people's stories. Explore our medieval house and enjoy these fantastic, thought-provoking artworks. Many people don;t realise how many people of colour from all over the world who lived and worked in England in the Tudor period as merchants, musicians and ordinary farmers, living both ordinary and extraordinary lives. Our colleagues at Selly Manor Museum asked young artists to explore some of the lives of these fascinating people and respond with pieces of artwork. These artworks are now on display at Bromwich Hall.
