Heritage Open Day: Avoncroft Museum of Buildings welcomes you to explore the past, present and future by getting 'hands-on' with history! See, feel, hear, smell and even taste the lives of ordinary people from the past at this FREE weekend event. Volunteers and reenactors will help you to step back in time through dress, dance, cooking and army drill.
This immersive family-friendly weekend of displays, demonstrations and hands-on history will entertain visitors of all ages. The beautiful nineteen acre grounds of Avoncroft Museum and the Medieval Town House will come alive as you learn all about military tactics of the 17th century and see what civilian life was like through interactive living history encampments.
