Heritage Open Day: A Grade 2 listed house, which was formerly a joiner’s workshop and small holding. Recently renovated combining respect for the building's past with the need to address modern living standards and the climate crisis. In 2022 after decades of only basic upkeep and three years unoccupied, current owners Alison Milner and Steve Speller bought the house and started their renovation journey with the help of Salt Architects and Clark & Hay builders.
Come and see historic features that have been uncovered during the renovation and a display of the materials used: including lime plasters, wool insulation, expanded glass pebbles and bamboo flooring. Also the air source heating pump and the clever use of the south facing windows to maximise solar gain.
