Located on Sewerby Road (South Side) are the Cemetery Chapels which are grade 2 listed. Built circa 1879 by Architect Alfred Smith of Nottingham. Pair of chapels in ashlar with Welsh slate roofs. Roundel windows in gables above Decorated windows. Linked by triple arcades with carved capitals, lined with polychrome brickwork. Centre tower and spire, through octagonal lantern. Plaque with date and carved angel. Carved angels to ribs of tower, and numerous gargoyles to exterior.
Additionally you can find a group of Commonwealth Graves in the graveyard located to the rear of the Chapel on the LH side. The graveyard is well maintained and has a number of interesting and distinctive headstones.
