Dr Dav Smith will reflect on the fascinating (and sometimes fractious) discussions about patronage and restoration and the tensions at the heart of this church’s Victorian restoration. Professor Kate Giles will speculate about what scheme of wall paintings might have been lost during the works and why they were never recorded.
