Heritage Open Day: The World on our Doorstep exhibition explores a selection of textiles from The Quilt Collection, that originate or feature design influences from other parts of the world. Whilst The Quilt Collection itself tells the story and development of our British patchwork and quilting heritage, there are many aspects of fabric design, dyeing techniques and construction styles which have international roots - influencing British design, manufacture and making.
