Heritage Open Day: The Norman Knights Return to Conisbrough: Free entry to castle, Norman Medieval Encampment, Battling Knights, Medieval Surgeon Display, Historical tours led by published Author and expert on the De Warren family, children's fun activities. Conisbrough Castle will be abuzz today when the Normans will take on the Anglo-Saxons in battle in the inner bailey of the castle thanks to re-enactment group Sudrjorvik. There will be living history displays in the bailey and outside the visitor centre from re-enactors Inferna Peditum and English Heritage volunteers will be engaging young and old alike with medieval crafts and activities from 11:00-15:00.
