Some of the most impressive monuments in Sheffield General Cemetery belong to those who made their money from industry in Sheffield, particularly the metal-working industries. However, often unseen are the countless Sheffield men, women and children who worked in these industries, many of whom are also buried on site. Many of those buried came from all over the world and found work in Sheffield industries.
