Heritage Open Day: St Peter's Church is over 900 years old. It is a place of historical significance with links to the Bronte sisters and John Nelson. There is lots to discover both inside and outside the church for all ages. For over 900 years there has been a worshipping community on the site of St Peter's Church, Birstall. Throughout the building and grounds there is evidence of the evolution of the church over the centuries.
