Heritage Open Day: Climb the 69 steps up the 83 foot Lindley Clocktower, and take in the view from the windows, as well as see the clock mechanism. Designed in the Art Nouveau style by architect Edgar Wood, Lindley Clock Tower was erected in 1902 by James Nield Sykes, a local mill owner. Climb the spiral staircase to the viewing platform, which has windows on all 4 sides. If you're lucky the quarterly chimes will toll as you visit. The clocktower is not regularly open to the public.
