Treasures of the Thoresby Society's Archive
Heritage Open Day: Visitors to the Thoresby Society at the Leeds Library will be able to watch and enjoy a continuous slide show of a selection of our large collection of lantern slides of views of Leeds, and some of our collection of old maps, books and documents. As well as the slideshow we will be displaying some of our old maps, some of the more famous sales particulars, and recently acquired resources. There will be an exhibition of our resources regarding the sewerage of Leeds. Copies of our own recent publications: 'Temple Newsam and Temple Hirst. Tudor Palaces of Lord Darcy of the North' by Peter Brears (2022) and Miscellany (2023) will be available for purchase.
