The Jam was a powerhouse three-piece that kept British guitar pop alive, providing a blueprint for generations. With 18 consecutive UK Top 40 singles and four number 1 hits, they drew upon 60s beat, soul, R&B, and 70s punk. The Jam left an enduring legacy on British music culture.
