Master storyteller, Hugh Lupton presents 'Warp and Weft
Bergh Apton Arts invites you to come and hear Hugh spin stories from these islands of wonder in which we live.
In mountain, fen, field and forest lurk the shadows of Green Children, giants, a buried King with his warriors lost in sleep. Black Shuck prowls the lanes, a Green Knight rides into a King’s Court, shape-shifting Selkies, Jack o’ Lanterns, the Oak and Holly Kings. Bells from drowned churches toll at midnight and mermaids and phantom ships ride the salt seas.
The stories Hugh weaves for us will make us laugh or cry, shiver with fear and all are woven in the great magical tapestry which makes us, an island race, into what we are.
