OxTrail herd to congregate at Westgate Oxford this Weekend

Westgate Oxford has announced that it will host 50 OxTrail oxen on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September, ahead of the charity auction on 13th September in support of Sobell House Hospice.
This summer, 138 brightly painted oxen have been exhibited across Oxfordshire, with visitors invited to collect a map and discover all the large and mini oxen sculptures on display across the county.
Throughout this period, Westgate Oxford has been home to the Hub Shop, where guests were able to collect printed trail maps and memorabilia. The centre has also hosted four oxen, named Oxford’s Starry Night, Crystal, Looking for Alice and Prehistoric Ox.
Now, after seven weeks of the OxTrail, 50 oxen will congregate for two full days on Leiden Square, giving guests the chance to see the array of designs created and painted by artists including David Mellor and Korky Paul as well as local schools and businesses.
All money raised during the auction will be donated to Sobell House Hospice, a local charity which supports people experiencing palliative care, alongside their families.
