Autumn Herbals Weekend

An immersion into plant medicine with community herbalist Rasheeqa Ahmad.

About the event:
We will meet the season of fruitfulness as the summer flowering transforms into richness of berries and seeds.
Through the weekend we will walk the land and touch into the healing elements of the garden and wild plants growing around the grounds of Braziers. We will make friends with herbs of the season, gather those that are in abundance to make autumn greeting remedies for our health and wellbeing. Spend a couple of days slowing into noticing, sensing, exchanging energy with plants and learning about our ancient bodily and spiritual connections with them.
Together we’ll prepare a small set of medicines for you to take home and have their support through the next season, as well as the methods and recipes to continue your making journey.

About the facilitator:
Rasheeqa Ahmad is a qualified medical herbalist based in Walthamstow, east London. She trained at the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine in Glasgow and at Middlesex University (Archway Herbal Clinic) in London, gaining a 1st-class Honours degree and the Ellis Snitcher Memorial Prize for Integrative Medicine in 2012.
Rasheeqa trained in Herbal Medicine with the aim of helping people to enjoy positivity and intelligent health in collaboration with our living universe. She is excited about the possibilities of plant medicine, both those understood since ancient times and those emerging now. She believes that understanding our connections and symbiosis with the other living beings of the earth can yield great potential for our future development and success – all of us together.
