Feeling frazzled, overwhelmed, burnt out or in need of a little soul-soothing? Take this opportunity to slow down, make space for you, giving yourself the gift of restoration. The Slow Practice Weekend – a retreat offering respite and sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
What will we practice during the weekend?
- Explore different ways to rest, developing your own ‘Slow Daily Practice’.
- Learn about the Burn Out Cycle
- Cultivate mindfulness practices to bring presence into your daily life.
- Immerse yourself in gentle yoga sessions and somatic practices, allowing yourself to unwind, release tension, connect deeply with your body and mind.
- Reflect and introspect with journaling sessions.
- EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to soothe your mind and restore inner calm.
- Reconnect with the healing power of nature through guided outdoor activities.
- Explore creatively to reconnect in with playfulness, contentment, joy and life’s glimmers.
- Everything offered is an invitation, participants are welcome to join in activities and take time out for themselves during the weekend.
About the facilitator:
Jules Allan has trained in a wide variety of wellbeing practices; Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Yin, Accessible Yoga, Mindfulness, Somatic Coaching, EFT, Trauma Informed and is currently training to be an Integrated Counsellor.
Co-Founder of the ‘Slow Practice Collective’ Jules has over 25 years of working in creative and wellbeing work, developing and co-ordinating creative wellbeing workshops, projects and retreats with various communities across the UK. Jules has lived experience of Burn Out and Chronic pain/fatigue and tries to live and work in intentioned slow way.
