HUNGRYTOWN is the husband and wife duo of singer Rebecca Hall and multi-instrumentalist Ken Anderson. Rebecca, then a jazz singer, and Ken, a drummer in garage bands, met when they worked in New York. In 2004 they swapped their New York offices to live and make music in the hills of New England. Rebecca writes and sings melodic and achingly beautiful songs, weaving modern themes into traditional song structures. Supported by a variety of instruments, including banjo, mandolin, guitar and harmonica, their music evokes the classic folk songwriters of the '60s and ’70s, while their lyrics are tempered with a modern message. With Rebecca’s crystal-clear voice and their gorgeous vocal harmonies, HUNGRYTOWN’s music transcends time and place.
