Jesus Christ Superstar is the iconic rock musical that has wowed audiences for decades with an original album that became a global phenomenon.
With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jesus Christ Superstar is set in Roman occupied Jerusalem, and traces the last weeks of the life of Jesus as seen through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. By leading a revolutionary movement that is threatening to overthrow the Roman hold on the city, Jesus is a threat that must be destroyed. With incredible music and choreography performed by the multi-award winning Glow Theatre Group, the show is a powerful, moving and ultimately uplifting exploration of the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire. The legendary score includes ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’, ‘Gethsemane’ and ‘Jesus Christ, Superstar’.
