Newmarket care home invites community to community fundraising event
A local care home is inviting the community to join them for a coffee morning to raise vital dough-nations for a very worthwhile cause.
Guests are invited to join residents at Care UK’s Kentford Manor, on Jeddah Way, on Friday 27th September from 10 am to 12 pm, and spend the morning enjoying tasty treats baked by the home’s Head Chef to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Every year Macmillan organises the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in kitchens, offices and village halls across the globe to fundraise for people living with cancer. Since the very first coffee morning in 1990 over £310 million has been raised for the charity, enabling it to support individuals from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.
Kat Rayment, General Manager at Kentford Manor, said: “We’re excited to invite everyone to our upcoming coffee morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. It’s a wonderful chance for us to come together as a community, enjoy some delicious treats, and raise funds for a cause that’s close to our hearts.

Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, Kentford Manor incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities. The building has been configured into a number of suites to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage social interaction among the residents.
