York Musical Society Autumn Concert - Duruflé and Goodall
Join York Musical Society for an uplifting evening of choral music at St Lawrence Parish Church.
Duruflé’s Requiem is a work of atmospheric beauty and serenity, combining Gregorian chant melodies with more modern harmonies.
Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light uses Latin text and English poems in a beautiful, contemporary ‘Requiem for the living’.
York Musical Society chorus will be joined by Georgia Mae Ellis (mezzo-soprano), Adam Jarman (baritone) and accompanied by Shaun Turnbull (organ), Angelina Egerton (harp), William Campbell (piano).
Conductor: David Pipe.
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available in advance from Eventbrite or on the door (cash only, please).
Prices are: Adult £15; Student/ child age 13-18 £5; Child under13 free with an adult. Please note, there is a booking fee if you book via Eventbrite.
