York Musical Society Autumn Concert - Duruflé and Goodall
Join York Musical Society for an uplifting evening of choral music at St Lawrence Parish Church.
Duruflé’s Requiem is a work of atmospheric beauty and serenity, combining Gregorian chant melodies with more modern harmonies.
Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light uses Latin text and English poems in a beautiful, contemporary ‘Requiem for the living’.
York Musical Society chorus will be joined by Georgia Mae Ellis (mezzo-soprano), Adam Jarman (baritone) and accompanied by Shaun Turnbull (organ), Angelina Egerton (harp), William Campbell (piano).

The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available in advance from Eventbrite or on the door (cash only, please). Prices are: Adult £15; Student/ child age 13-18 £5; Child under13 free with an adult. Please note, there is a booking fee if you book via Eventbrite.
