WWT Arundel first opened its doors to visitors 48 years ago, on November 10, 1976.
A lot has changed but the site still resonates with the ideals of those who care about saving wetlands for wildlife and people through the years.
We’re opening our archives to share photos, materials, and videos that celebrate our history here and the people who have made WWT Arundel Wetland Centre!
See a Timeline of our centre and a display of guidebooks, maps and membership cards in the Swan Lake Room with short videos about the site made by staff and volunteers.
Buildings onsite will have information panels of their history posted inside and you can see back in time with photo boards, in situ, of the physical changes that have happened on site through the years.
