First look inside new Wantage care home – which has its own cinema
A care home in Wantage is inviting the local community to explore its purpose-built facilities.
Care UK’s Charlton Lodge, on Buttercup Road, will be open to the community on 26th October and 2nd November from 10am-2pm, and on 27th October and 3rd November from 12pm-4pm.
Members of the community will have the opportunity to meet the team and chat to the Customer Relations Manager, Mark Young.
Guests will also be able to take a tour around the care home, including the cinema, hair salon and café.
Carla Kell, Home Manager at Charlton Lodge, said: We're excited to open the doors to Charlton Lodge and welcome the community into our wonderful new home.
“We understand the importance of making a care home feel like home, which is why we encourage local people to visit, meet the team, and learn why life in a Care UK care home is special.
“We’re incredibly proud of the warm and welcoming environment we’ve created here at Charlton Lodge, and we’re looking forward to meeting the people of Wantage, and the surrounding areas and show them what life could be like at Charlton Lodge!
Charlton Lodge will be a state-of the-art care home providing full-time residential and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the home will have its very own cinema, hair salon and café, along plenty of space – both indoors and out – for relaxation and recreation.
