Finlay Christie ‘I Deserve This’
Award winning stand-up comedian and viral sensation Finlay Christie has announced his second UK tour with his critically acclaimed second hour ‘I Deserve This’.
Finlay will be bringing his show to London's Leicester Square Theatre 19th November. The show, directed by Bobby Mair, was a major hit at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe with a sold out run and extra shows at the Monkey Barrel.
The 25-year-old was also nominated for a prestigious Malcolm Hardie award for the 'Act That Should Make a Million Quid' and won a WoW (Week on Week) Award that are given to shows recommended as outstanding by Entertainment Now.
His debut hour OK Zoomer was not only nominated for NextUp's Best Show award, but was also released as a special on YouTube in October 2023, racking up a staggering 448,000 views to date. His YouTube channel has over 465K subscribers and he has produced multiple hit online series, including “When they go to a foreign country in a Hollywood film” and “Asking black and white people the same questions about…”
In ‘I Deserve This’ Christie examines why young people secretly love climate change, why the news is only aimed at old people, and offers a foolproof plan to get young people on the property ladder. He delves into his private school experiences, which inspired the sitcom script ‘Born to Rule,’ optioned by Boffola Pictures and showcased in a pilot directed by Rosco 5 and featuring Isaac Hempstead-Wright from Game of Thrones.
TV includes 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Stand-Up Sketch Show, Comedy Central Live and The BBC New Comedy Awards. He has opened for Micky Flanagan on tour and has performed at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal as well as in Paris, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Prague and Stockholm for the Comedy Store. He has also appeared as an actor in The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff (BBC2) with Stephen Fry and Waybuloo (CBeebies).
