Baluji Shrivastav OBE's 'Flamenco Interactions' comes to The Cut

Experience an extraordinary evening of musical fusion as renowned sitar master Baluji Shrivastav OBE joins forces with virtuoso flamenco guitarist Ignacio Monteverd. This unique concert explores the fascinating historical connection between Indian classical music and flamenco, tracing the journey of musical traditions brought to Spain by Romani travellers from Rajasthan.

The performance brings together an exceptional ensemble including Baluji Shrivastav OBE on sitar, one of India's greatest instrumentalists and recipient of numerous prestigious awards including an OBE for his services to music, joined by virtuoso flamenco guitarist Ignacio Monteverde. The performance will also feature traditional flamenco dance by Lourdes Fernandez and masterful tabla accompaniment by Yousuf Ali Khan.
