Registration: Opens at 08.00. There will be no entries on the day, the race entry limit is 500. Start/Finish: 2 minutes from Race HQ, in the Middlewood Way car park on Wood Lane, Marple, SK6 7RE. The race starts bang on 09:30, the start is staggered to relieve congestion on the Middlewood Way. We are chip timing the run and your numbers and timing chips will be provided on the day.

Stockport Trail Half Marathon
This is the perfect race to add to your calendar as a challenge in its own right, or ideal as part of your preparation for the Spring marathon season. Now in its 11th year, this popular half marathon trail race takes place along the picturesque Middlewood Way and Macclesfield Canal.
Race HQ is at the Marple Tavern, very close to the Wood Lane Car Park on the Middlewood Way. Registration, bag drop and toilets are situated here. The pub will be open after your race and the bar is open from 12 for drinks. This pub doesn't serve food but there will be a food stand at the race finish.
This will be our 2nd year with our Dave Wave: If you're coming to run rather than race, or feel intimidated by mass starts, this could be for you as it's the last wave to set off. Fronted by Dave Edwards of Sports Feet in Hazel Grove, it's open to anyone who fancies a gentler start to their run. (You don't have to be called Dave to be in it....)
Cut Off: We do not have a cut off time, but please let us know before race day if you expect to take longer than 3 hours 15 minutes to complete the course. This is to allow us to plan for marshal replacements and delay our course dismantlement.
