Britain's What's On Event Guide
Geddington Wassail Walk
Join us as we carol through the medieval streets of Geddington, recreating the ancient tradition of the Wassail, sharing the Wassail bowl filled with hot mulled cider, or Lambswool, the true English drink of choice for Christmas. (There will be non-alcoholic version available). Learn some ancient drinking songs the Kings of Geddington may have sung, and sing Christmas carols for your chosen charity and (as required by Wassail tradition) wake the local apple trees!
We will be a'wassailing each weekend throughout December into January but if you have a group of 6 or more we will gladly book a date at your convenience. Email your request to toursbykam@gmail.com
Can people with special needs join in?
If notified in advance, we can do anything. All tours are insured and our guide has an NVQ in care and vulnerable people support.
How about well behaved dogs?
Always welcome.
Do we need anything to prepare or bring?
Nothing is needed except to dress appropriately for the weather. A little evergreen or traditional herbs would not be rejected, of course.
