Christmas Carol Concert
As part of the Ilkley Arts Festival, Cantores Olicanae choir present their ever-popular Christmas Carol Concert on Thursday 19th December at 7.30pm in St John’s Church, Ben Rhydding.
The concert showcases a selection of choruses and tenor and soprano recitatives from Bach’s wonderful Christmas Oratorio. In addition, the evening includes a festive sprinkling of delightful choral music including Todd's 'My Lord has Come', the atmospheric and ethereal ‘O Magnum Mysterium’ by Lauridsen, the glorious ‘O Radiant Dawn’ by Macmillan and more. There will also be a selection of seasonal readings and lots of opportunity for audience participation in traditional carols.
The choir will be led by their Musical Director James Savage-Hanford and accompanied by Robert Sudall.
