A magical event marking the beginning of Christmas for the whole village. Desford Heritage join with St. Martin’s Church for the 22nd year of the Christmas Tree Festival.
Kicking off on Friday 29th Nov the church opens its doors with a stunning display of 'around the World' inspired Christmas trees (This year Carols on the Green will be at 7pm on the Friday evening).
Visitors can find our Christmas Market on the Church Green Sat & Sun 12-6pm. Meet up with friends & family for a truly festive experience. With something for everyone expect fabulous food, drink & festive shopping. With a host of new stall holders and past favourites be sure to register your interest in the event for further festival details.
Our youngest visitors can enjoy Santa's Workshop at the Church Centre, where Santa himself will be on hand in his grotto to receive Christmas wishes (£6 per child). With games, tombolas, FREE arts & crafts, refreshments and more, make sure you don’t miss out on this extra-special experience.The village letter box will also be in the grotto for letters to the North Pole.
St. Martin's church is open 10am on the Friday & Saturday, and 11.30am on Sunday after the service.
