PQA Selby - Poppets
Poppets is our performing arts experience for four and five-year-olds. These 90-minute sessions are designed to encourage young children to develop performance and communication skills as they create and explore stories, songs, characters and situations through the use of acting, movement, music, voice, dance, and teamwork.
Our Poppets teachers are all performing arts specialists, who have bags of experience working with children under six. All staff are enhanced DBS checked and trained in child protection and E-Safety.
Classes are usually centred around fun and imaginative themes. Teachers create exciting and energetic lessons where our Poppets will travel through space, take a trip under the sea, explore lost jungles or find themselves dancing through the halls of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
Performances
Just like our older students, Poppets can choose to perform in mini-musicals featuring songs from our best-loved shows such as The Wizard of Oz, Annie and Oliver!
