The Choral Pilgrimage 2025: Blackburn
Our 2025 Choral Pilgrimage offers a welcome slice of calm and tranquillity, combining
the exquisite beauty of Hildegard of Bingen with Taverner’s joyous large-scale works.
We also explore the unique and mesmeric soundworld of Arvo Pärt, who celebrates his
90th birthday this year, and the magical realm of a new commission by Anna Clyne for solo
violin and choir.
Our Choral Workshop, taking place on 5 April at 9:30am at Blackburn Cathedral, also offers a rare and rewarding opportunity for enthusiastic amateur singers to explore a variety
of music inspired by The Sixteen’s own Choral Pilgrimage programme. Tickets are £30, with £5 off when you buy a workshop and concert ticket together.
