Wassail at Shoemakers Museum

Come along to our traditional annual celebration of the apple.
Join us for a traditional Somerset wassail celebration in the Shoemakers Museum orchard at The Grange in Street. We will be joined by the Langport Mummers to delight us with music and dance and the legendary Les Davies (Westcountry Man, CBE) will be master of ceremonies as we bless the oldest tree in the orchard which is said to encourage a good crop!
With music and storytelling and a competition for the finest headress!!
Refreshments will be available, including apple juice and cider to keep us warm. This is an outside event so please dress appropriately in warm clothing and outdoor footwear - and remember to wear a fancy apple themed headdress if you wish to enter the competition!
Entry is by donation.

There is no need to book in advance.
