We return to the warm surroundings and splendid acoustics of the Anthony Hall in Aston Clinton - a community building designed for the Rothschild family in 1884. Tring Chamber Music presents an enticing and enthralling programme of music for the unusual combination of harp and violin. Our programme travels from the Baroque to the Twentieth Century: from solo works by Bach and his famous son Carl, to exquisite sounds from the French romantic era of Saint-Saëns and Massenet; from Spanish folksongs and a smoky but nostalgic Tango, to melodies by that 20th Century master of sound and silence, John Cage. This concert promises variety, passion and joy. We warmly welcome harpist Olivia Jageurs, a recent Royal Philharmonic Society Enterprise Fund ‘trailblazer’ to our concerts.
