British Wild Food Festival

The British Wild Food Festival was set up in 2024 by Sam Webster a professional forager, her love of nature, wild food and the connection that bring us is what inspired the festival, a place to share the love of all things wild. With the support of the organisers of the Scottish Wild Food festival and the Association of Foragers who sponsor the festival and of the AoF members are running exciting events, workshops, talks, walks and dining experiences.

Sam wanted to create something that brings people together, while enjoying nature and the edible bounty that can be found. The start of summer is the perfect time for a festival and the best type of festival is a foodie festival that is surrounded by nature.

The British Wild Food Festival will be held at Hawkstone Park Follies in Shropshire, which excuse my bias is the most beautiful location in the world. and if you get chance at the festival you have to climb to the top of the monument and explore the caves. However the festival line up for 2025 is getting jam packed, you can learn to forage, make ferments, butcher, learn about how to use waste food, grow your own mushrooms, chill out with forest bathing, enjoy the wild food cooking competition (there's still time to enter see website for details) there's loads of lawn games for the kids and our artisan market.
The day can be full of the hustle and bustle of activity or you can take it slow and relax in the forest bathing areas listening to bird song and the gentle breeze in the trees.
