An Evening of English Whisky by Wharf Distillery

Spend a unique evening with founder Laurence as he guides you through Wharf's whisky journey. From the initial distillations; the current whisky expressions; and the fascinating whisky derivatives, all produced in the market town of Towcester, Northamptonshire.
Discover how Wharf helped shape the English Whisky landscape and what sets English Whisky apart from Scotch and other emerging whisky nations.

After a welcome drink, and introduction from Laurence, the evening will begin with a tour of the distilling room to meet the two production stills Velocity and Mari. Laurence will then give a brief history of Wharf before delving into how the Wharf whiskies are made and how our production differs from industrialised production. Interaction is encouraged so you can ask as many questions as you like during Laurence's talk.

Through the evening there will be guided tastings of six of Wharf's spirits with cheese nibbles to accompany.

The evening will conclude with an introduction to the formation and work of the English Whisky Guild and the future of English Whisky. After the talk there will be an opportunity to have further drinks from the bar until 10:30pm. Laurence will be happy to answer further questions.
