Lino Cutting And Block Printing - Day Course
Lino cutting is a creative printmaking technique where designs are carved into a soft material, creating a reusable printing block. Once carved, the block is coated with ink and pressed onto paper, fabric, or other surfaces to transfer the design.
This method is similar to woodcutting but uses a softer medium, making it easier to carve and a fantastic choice for both beginners and experienced printmakers. Its versatility and accessibility have made it a popular medium for creating bold and striking prints.
In this workshop, you’ll explore a fun and creative outlet while learning valuable artistic techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment. Our experienced instructors will guide you through every step of the process—from brainstorming and sketching your design to carving and printing your own handmade creations.

All materials and tools are provided, including a selection of printing surfaces such as cards, tea towels, and fabric squares, along with professional lino cutting tools, inks, and brayers. Everything you need to bring your ideas to life will be at your fingertips.
You’ll be guided step-by-step through the entire process—from brainstorming and sketching your ideas to carving and printing your creations. Along the way, you’ll learn tips and techniques to achieve clean, precise prints and develop skills you can continue to use after the workshop.
