If you have ever wondered 'are there any community choirs near me' then the answer is firmly yes!
The Ipswich Rock Choir is led by singer/pianist Lee Birnie. It's our privilege to take a minute to tell you about our unique sellout O2 arena event in 2013 and our secret singing flash mobs around country for Comic Relief (just search 'Great British flash mob' on YouTube!), but at Rock Choir we know it's not just about the unique huge events, it's about our choir members singing in the community. Join your local Ipswich Rock Choir to become part of this 'national phenomenon' (as described in the Sunday Times) and discover a whole new world of opportunities to sing in Ipswich and make friends!
We sing in Ipswich every week during term time. You can join the choir by going to rockchoir.com or you can also book a FREE singing taster session to try it beforehand. If you feel you're not ready to join a choir yet, why not visit our performances page at rockchoir.com to see when we're next performing locally in Ipswich or Suffolk. There you can come along to see what we're all about - local people bringing the local Ipswich community together through something as simple as learning to sing.
Here is a quote about our choir - 'My 12 year old daughter Abbii and I both sing in Rock Choir. It is great to do something together that we both really enjoy. We have sung at Disneyland Paris and Guilfest, and I have been on the Paul O'Grady Show. What an experience! ' - Judith (Rock Choir member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
