Man/Woman/Chainsaw play an all-ages matinee gig at Kendal Library.
Noisy, unadulterated art punk from the heart of London Man/Woman/Chainsaw have been taking their lead from the musical forefathers of experimental rock having been described by Rolling Stone as an update on the signature South London sound honed by Black Country, New Road, Black Midi.
“We thrive on the thin line between pretty and noisy, often trying to jump between the two - it’s that chaos that excites us.”
Priding themselves on ripping up the rulebook there is no shortage of excitement or chaos on their recently released debut. ‘Eazy Peazy’ was released when the band were just 16 and gives a unique insight into a sound coming of age in real-time as the musical alliance they created as teens at school grows and swells with force.
From the orchestral zest of Ode to Clio to the intimate vocal and theatrical beauty of ‘Grow A Tongue With Time’ Man/Woman/Chainsaw are . Gaining fans the old-fashioned way the DIY punkstars recently celebrated their 100th gig. Expect a free-wheeling live performance full of sonic questions.
