Young Persons' Half-term Workshop: Pop Art Portraits
This half term our art tutor Ayse Kongur is undertaking a special workshop in portraiture for young creatives! Half ’n’ POP is aptly titled: half photo, half creatively drawn or painted portrait sessions aimed at 10 -15 year olds. The workshop is going to encourage individual creativity using references from Pop Art and cartoons.
For this special occasion we would like the children to have appropriate portrait photos taken on a white background for easy tracing. We will then use tracing paper to trace the contours, working with gouache or acrylics or pencil or any other preferred medium, finally joining it with the original colour laser printed photo side by side on an A3 card paper.
WHAT TO BRING:
Children are advised to bring a digital mugshot with them, either fit-to-shrink A4 size colour/black and white printed copy or a digital copy. Please wear old clothes and bring an apron!
Suitable for ages: 10 - 15 years
