Teens Half-term Pottery Workshop: Doorway to Another World - 21 Feb
It is often said that doors are portals to other places and sometimes even other worlds. In this workshop we will use traditional pottery handbuilding techniques to create our very own magical doors along with their setting and surroundings. As we sculpt, inspired by images and paintings, we will create stories to accompany the doors and further inform the details we add. Remember to come in old clothes, as clay can be messy, and bring along some of your own images (ideally printed or drawn, if possible!) to add to the resources available on the day to draw inspiration from.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring with you a snack and a bottle of water, or there is a coffee bar on site. There will be a break to eat your snack during the workshop. Please wear old clothes and bring an apron and a cardboard box! Materials are provided and we will be using Air-drying clay so that you can take your sculpture home with you.
Suitable for ages 12 - 16 years
